The simplest way to cover a cinder block wall is by using surface bonding cement to create a concrete finish. If you are installing furring strips over the concrete you better either 1 use treated material for this or 2 put tar paper between the cement and furring strip. Dampen the concrete twice a day for 3 days straight to ensure it cures correctly.
