First construct a metal gate frame using thinner steel pipes than you used for the posts to reduce the weight of the gate. Placing 2 by 6 boards at the top bottom and middle of t posts on a fence increases the sturdiness over using wire for fencing. T posts are less expensive than wooden posts for vertical poles on a fence line. A post driver is a hollow 2 foot long metal tube with handles and a cap at the top.

Post driver has handles on both sides of the weighted cylinder. By using metal fence posts with your wooden fence you will extend the life of your fence by multiple years. Often times extending the life of your wood fence by 2x 3x or 4x years. Attach 2 by 6 boards after the t post installation so as not to interfere with the post driver on the t post.

The adapter is compatible with 2 3 8 in. Assemble the frame pieces with galvanized steel corner brackets. To take advantage of the strength of the galvanized post on the hinge side of the gate you should attach the gate to it with the same gate hinges you would use with a chain link fence gate. Once all the posts are set hook the mesh over the hooks on one end post.

Fit it over the post lift the tube and ram the top down on the posts. The wood fence post adapter is a fixed wood adapter that is used to attach steel fence posts to wood panel fencing. Pull the mesh taut and then attach it to the next post working your way from post to post until the fence is complete. Place the driver over the fence post and carefully lift and release as frequently as necessary to sink the post.
